Description
Material is the thing most kegel ball listings skip, and it is the thing that decides whether a set is still safe to use in a year.
Each Ami ball is 100% body-safe silicone moulded over a weighted core, with a soft, velvety finish that gives a little under pressure rather than staying hard. The set covers three weights — 47 grams as a single ball, then 78 and 106 grams as double balls — with girth narrowing from 4.3 inches to 3.6 inches as the weight rises. Insertable length is 3.5 inches. The set is vegan.
Silicone of this grade is non-porous, and that is the part worth understanding. Porous materials hold bacteria in surface pores that rinsing does not reach, which is why cheap sets are a poor idea for something worn internally and repeatedly. Non-porous silicone can actually be cleaned. Warm water, a mild unscented soap, rinse properly, and let it dry fully before it goes away.
Two care notes that matter more than they sound. Store it where it is not pressed against other silicone — silicone against silicone degrades both surfaces over time. And do not use silicone lubricant with it, which breaks the surface down; water-based is the safe match if you use one at all.
An ergonomic retrieval loop is moulded into each base, so removal does not come down to fingertips.
This black set matches the fuchsia and purple in weight, size and material.
Not for you if you have a known silicone sensitivity — uncommon, but real — in which case a glass or stainless steel weight set will suit you better than any silicone version on the market. It is also not for you if you already know you will not wash it properly between uses. Body-safe is a property of the material and the care together, not of the material alone.
